Social Tables alternatives for wedding diagrams and decor previews

Social Tables, now called Cvent Event Diagramming, is a collaborative platform where planners and venues build event diagrams, seat attendees and manage meals. Couples and small planners look elsewhere because paid plans carry a 12-month commitment, because photo-realistic 3D is an Enterprise feature, and because the homepage does not mention weddings. Prismm shares its price grid, Planning Pod and Aisle Planner bundle layouts with business tools, Vectorworks Spotlight is professional CAD, Tableplan is a per-event seating chart. VenuePreview shows a couple their own venue decorated.

We make VenuePreview, one of the alternatives below. We compared Social Tables and each alternative on what you get, what you send and price, using each vendor's public pages, checked October 13, 2026.

What Social Tables does well

Seating and meals in one place

Visual seating charts come with "simple meal management".

A free tier to start

The free planner plan covers 1 user, 3 events and 2 diagrams per event.

Venue floor plans drawn for you

Venue Pro and Premium include 5,000 or 10,000 sq. ft. of professionally drawn floor plans.

Where Social Tables falls short for seeing your venue decorated

A year-long commitment

The pricing page says "All paid plans have a 12-month commitment."

3D only at the top

Photo-realistic 3D rendering appears only on Enterprise plans.

Weddings are not the focus

It sells to planners, venues and suppliers; the homepage does not mention weddings or couples.

Why couples look for a Social Tables alternative

  • Paid plans lock in for 12 months, which does not suit one wedding.
  • The 3D walkthrough people see in marketing sits on Enterprise plans.
  • Couples are not named as buyers on its homepage.
