FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS
For couples decorating a destination venue they may only see twice
A destination wedding asks you to decorate a room you might visit once before the day, through a florist you have met on a video call, in a place where you cannot pop in to check a table sample. Most of the decisions are made from home, from the venue's own photos and your memory of a site visit. VenuePreview lets you start from photos of the empty venue, choose a style and colors, and see that space decorated, so the plan you send across the world is a picture rather than a paragraph.
The visualizations help you choose a direction and explain it. The local team still makes the decor real, with what is available where you marry.
Each package covers a single venue upload and is a one-time purchase.

Why decor is the hardest part of a destination wedding
You plan the room from far away
Couples marrying abroad or in another state often see the venue on one scouting trip, if at all. Ceiling height, the color of the stone and where the light falls in the evening are easy to forget once you are home.
Briefs get lost in translation
Your florist, the venue coordinator and the rental company may work in another language or simply another vocabulary. 'Romantic garden feel' means something different to each of them, and there is little time to correct a misunderstanding on arrival.
Late surprises are expensive to fix
When the decor arrives the day before and does not suit the space, there is no second shop to run to. Changing flowers, linens or candles on site usually costs more than getting the direction right months earlier.
VenuePreview moves the hardest decision, what the room should look like, to the months before you travel. Use photos of the empty venue from your site visit or from the venue itself, choose the style and palette you are weighing, and look at your actual space decorated each way. Put two or three directions side by side with your partner, settle on one, and share the visualizations with the local planner and florist so everyone is working from the same image. Most visualizations are delivered within 10 to 25 minutes of submission, so you can test an idea in the evening and send it to a vendor in another time zone before they wake up.
What VenuePreview does for a destination couple
The facts to know before you plan a room you cannot easily visit.
Starts from your venue
Upload photos of the empty or undecorated venue. The visualizations show that space decorated, not a stock room that looks a little like it.
Your style and colors
Choose from pre-made visual style templates and color schemes, and compare different styles and palettes on the same venue.
Something to send
Share the visualizations with your vendors, your partner and your planner so the whole team understands the vision, wherever they are.
Quick to try ideas
Most visualizations are delivered within 10 to 25 minutes of submission, fast enough for last-minute planning and late-night decisions.
One venue per package
Each package covers a single venue upload. If the ceremony and reception are at different venues, contact hello@venuepreview.com for a tailored package.
One-time purchase
Packages are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, so there is nothing to cancel after the wedding.
How to plan destination decor with VenuePreview
- 01
Collect photos of the empty space
On the scouting trip, photograph the ceremony spot and the reception room while they are bare, from where guests will stand. If you cannot travel, ask the venue for recent photos without another couple's decor in them.
- 02
Test the directions you are torn between
Pick a style and colors for each idea, for example a Mediterranean look in olive and white against a softer romantic look in blush. Seeing both on the real venue makes it easier to tell which one suits the stone and the setting.
- 03
Agree on one and share it
Choose the direction together, then share the visualizations with the local florist and planner as the reference for quotes and mood boards.
Destination situations where seeing the venue decorated helps
A beach ceremony with a terrace reception
Compare palettes against the sand and the sea before you order linens that need to look right in strong daylight.
Learn moreA chateau or castle booked from abroad
Old stone, high ceilings and tapestries change how flowers and candles read. See the room in two styles before you commit to a florist's proposal.
Learn moreA vineyard you visited on a single weekend
Use the photos from the tour to decide between a rustic and a modern look while the details are still fresh.
Learn moreA Mediterranean palette for a seaside town
Test whether whitewashed walls want terracotta and olive or blue and white before booking the rental order.

Can I use photos the venue sent me?
Yes, as long as they show the space empty or undecorated. Photos with another couple's flowers and linens make it harder to judge your own plan, so ask the venue for bare room photos if you can.
How do I explain my decor to a florist I have never met?
Share the visualizations of your venue decorated in the direction you chose. A picture of the actual space gives a florist far more to work with than a list of adjectives or a mood board of other venues.
Does VenuePreview know what is available locally?
No. The visualizations show your venue in a style and palette you choose. Your local florist and rental company decide what can be sourced, so treat the visualization as the direction and ask them to match it with what they have.
My ceremony and reception are at two different venues. Is that one package?
Each package covers a single venue upload. For a multi-venue wedding, contact hello@venuepreview.com for a tailored package.
How fast can I see a new idea?
Most visualizations are delivered within 10 to 25 minutes of submission. That helps when your florist works in a different time zone.
What does it cost?
Packages are one-time purchases. Premium is $29 one-time for 100 venue visualizations and adds vendor sharing tools.
